I mean, I do that here, too. I can't handle hot-hot. It does get up over 100 here, but also suuuuper humid. It's like walking through hot soup. 😫😵 Makes for great vineyards, though!

But it's also true that my bedroom right now is room temperature, despite it likely not being the same temperature as your lab.

It's a euphemism, and subjective. The only real condition is that the temperature not be extreme. The assumption is that it should be generally considered comfortable.

Yep... AND they're wrong. It is subjective. The "conventionally accepted value" is a range between 20°C and 22°C. It's a euphemism for a non-extreme temperature; like a "pinch" of salt.
