The almost son-in-law is from China. He says it takes FOREVER to get a license plate for a new car. The govt wanted to increase uptake of electrics, so they said if you buy one, you get the license plate immediately. That 'drove' the market toward electrics! Hate to hand it to them, but good idea!

Sidestory: I worked in Paris in the 90s during the metro bombings. During the OJ trial, so the US justice system was a hot topic. The French derided our death penalty. Then the 20-something metro bomber was caught & the police surrounded him, lying in the street, and shot him. On tv. No trial!

This is so interesting! Over the past 3 years I've been through a surreal number of tragedies & supported many friends through their own. One consistent theme emerged: some people feel more entitled to the grief than others. Like it's a competition! OMG bizarre. Are you covering this topic?

Ugh. I'm a landlord & manage rentals. I deal fairly w/tenants & help unqualified applicants so they'll look great the next rental they try for. I report bad landlords & agents. These thieves make my job perception harder to overcome. Even my daughter won't learn the biz so she can take over one day.
