You know what I don't understand? When people like a character and change everything about them. You like this character right? Why are you changing them so drastically? It's like to a point where they don't even resemble their canon counterpart. Like at that point just make your own character.

I don't know who needs to hear this but don't change yourself for anyone else's approval. From a former people pleaser, those aren't your friends. No true friend will want you to change yourself. Do whatever makes you feel more comfortable. Be your authentic self, You'll be happier that way.
