As a Veteran, I will fight against political decisions that threaten our children's education, take food from our families, hurt our seniors or eliminate essential health care. There are a lot of feelings, take time with loved ones, eat good food & watch football. Leave the worrying to me.

My New Year's resolution is simple. Be the Comptroller who will fight against Donald Trump and get every dollar Illinois is owed. Ensure our residents are getting their fair share from the federal government and that political egos don't impact the important services Illinois citizens depend on.

No matter how they felt, we listened and made sure this campaign represents all of Illinois. It will be my job as Comptroller to uplift our nonprofit communities, protect hard-working men and women, and lower property taxes by properly funding our schools and local governments.

From the workers who forge our steel to those who build and protect our infrastructure, this broad support from Illinois' labor movement is a testament to our shared commitment to fiscal responsibility and economic justice.

I’m deeply grateful for their trust and support. Our unions are the foundation of Illinois’ economy, and I’m proud to stand with them in solidarity.
