10 shirts at Migros costs 42 CHF and some dry cleaners more or less match that price point if you pay up front.

It’s possible to iron a shirt yourself? One does’t have to get a shirt subscription at the local cleaners?

For him “min campaign” meant 5-8 sessions. For me 15 to 20 - in my mind “mini” meant NOT 50!

This is apt, 8 sessions into my The One Ring Moria campaign the hero’s have just unlocked the Dimrill door. The hobbit: “2 or 3 more sessions is all I can commit to”, The dwarves: “we have no preconceptions to length” 😃

IME small dogs are invariably forgotten by player & GM alike until after the party has traversed a situation where the dog could not have passed, requiring retconning.
Solution: lifelike cardboard cutout of dog on the table.

True, maybe only 2 or 3 conventions as such, after all Zürich for example is only the same size as Bristol.

I guess I’m just not doing enough conventions! 😃
[Plus I really feel a nice thick printed sheet sets the tone… 🤷‍♂️]

I’m slow blinking in amazement because I just print out fresh sheets on nice 120g/m2 paper each time (I do tweak pregens after I’ve seen them in play).
So you have to take a bunch of dry wipe pens to each game?

Leadership is saying where you are, where you are going and taking people with you. That is what is missing.

I think there is often an issue when grognards write for grognards. I ran a WFRP 1e campaign for years so 4e made perfect sense to me, but I was jumping all over using the index - armour for example is explained on page 299! Why?

The 4th edition needs editing and isn’t that accessible if you’ve not played it before (like a lot of us have) - I’m supportive of a new version that refines 4th with incremental improvements.

Don‘t tease me with the hope “Green vs Reform” could be a narrative they like even more than “Reform are surging”!

Its OK Andy, I think @fuzzybunny.org meant to say they‘re using AI to deploy AI code 👍🏻

Gonna correct you Jim, to be fair on 7e - spending luck is an optional rule:

Google methane extraction from landfill. I’m not sure how realistic or cost effective this is but it is sometimes done

Perfect for silencing noisy gaming kids or WFH partners who are on calls all day!

“US Civil war in 2025” is currently 3% chance on Polymarket

It’s a McGuffin.
That said maybe he swallowed the key and later retrieved it?
For the map - we can only assume once Saron took the ring he was cast into a cell with it still on his person - Orc guards might not care about a map…

Like communism, small r republicanism looks great on paper, but the real life case studies are disappointing 🤷‍♂️
September 28, 2025 at 7:31 AM
Not only would they rather not, but it shows in the results: try a narrative game like 10 candles with random people - it’s awful.
