The six legs might make them a bit faster, but the primary purpose is to help them stay stable when running and climbing on ice. Easier to stay gripped in place when you have six sets of claws rather than four.

These guys are all from my own planet called Nadela, a tidally locked place populated by lizard people on one side and werewolf people on the other.
I love them all so much (you can read more in the alt text).
A cartoon drawing of an original character named Maven. A member of an original species known as the Leafwalker Drakons, Maven possesses pale grey fur with darker grey towards the ends of her limbs. Her mane and the extra fur on the end of her tail are a pale blue. Like all Leafwalker Drakons, her eyes are purple, though hers have a lot of blue mixed in. She is wearing armor on her chest and around her waist, as well as on her arms, but her legs, tail, and head are completely unarmored. Her armor is primarily silver, with some sun motifs and gold worked in. She has a few small sun tattoos located on her belly, by her eye, and on the inside of her wrist and ankle. Her claws on her hands and feet seem fairly sharp, and she holds a large sword. Maven is a fierce warrior among the Leafwalker Drakons. Unlike many people who lived concurrently to her, she did not have powerful magic, but what she could use enhanced her armor and weapons to lethal degrees. She is very close with a mage named Bow. Maven lived through the actual tidal locking of the planet, a disaster that shook the Leafwalker society immensely, and eventually led to them evolving into the Sandpaw Saurians and Frostcoat Canids. The first one, on the left, is her humanoid form, where she is depicted wearing simple brown clothing, with medium brown skin and a purple mane which is partially shaved. Her four eyes are blue, like all Frostcoat Canids'. Her wolf form is depicted on the right, where her fur is the same color as her skin, but now with dark brown and white patterns. Wolf is a Frostcoat Canid who was abandoned as a baby, near the Abysm of Nadela. Found by a caring couple of Sandpaw Saurians, Wolf has been raised on the day side of Nadela, in the blistering sun. Her family ensures she is regularly shaved and have developed medicines to prevent her skin from burning in the hot sun. Wolf loves causing mischief amongst her friends and family, and typically uses her wolf form for a quick getaway. A cartoon drawing of an original character named Beast. A member of an original species known as the Sandpaw Saurians, Beast is a primarily grey and black lizard person. Her eyes, like all Sandpaw Saurian's, are a dull red color, and she possesses a trio of horns coming off the back of her head. Her skin is mostly grey, with black stripe patterns. She wears nothing more than a simply brown waistcloth, and wields two obsidian daggers. Beast is a guard amongst the Sandpaw Saurians. Working for Delphina, Beast regularly patrols Delphina's market to ensure no funny business is occurring. She is highly suspicious of outsiders, but friendly to those she knows well, including Aaro and Ace. Though initially hostile towards Allure, the two eventually enter a relationship, which Beast enjoys immensely. A cartoon drawing of an original character named Falkata. A member of an original species known as the Frostcoat Canids, two forms are depicted here. His first form, on the left, is a humanoid form. His skin is primarily white, and he is bare chested but wears a cloak of thick furs. His pants and boots are elaborately dyed and decorated, something he takes great pride in. His mane is a pale blue color and is quite thick to keep him warm. His eyes, like all Frostcoat Canids', are blue in color, though his are more icy than usual. On the right, his canine form is depicted. A white wolf with six legs, his mane is equally as fluffy, and small grey spots dot his shoulders. He is howling. Falkata is a famed hunt leader among the Frostcoat Canids. His crew finds great success following the instructions of Glayve, and he knows how best to utilize the skills of everyone to bring down foes. He is extremely proud and boasts of his skill often, but it isn't unwarranted and he does have some serious strength backing his claims.
