Orson Welles in Jordan 12s. The 217th Greatest Rapper of All-Time
A dark-and-gritty Home Alone legacy sequel where a now middle-aged and disillusioned Kevin McAllister lures Harry and Marv into a Saw-like escape room to try and recapture the passion, vitality, and clarity of purpose he last felt when locked in a life-and-death struggle as a child.

Just in case anyone was wondering:

It was "fuck Elon" before he was friends with Trump, "fuck Elon" while he was friends with Trump, and it's still 100% "fuck Elon" now that he's not friends with Trump anymore. It's always "fuck Elon" in my books...

How come in The Brave Little Toaster the fridge they try to pull on a skateboard isn't sentient like the rest of the appliances?

Shout out to God for keeping the Pope alive just long enough for him to have the chance to tell JD Vance to go fuck himself.

Apparently this #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched thing is a thing? And given I'm finally actually using #Letterboxd to keep track of my watches I figured I may as well take part

Controversial opinion alert: there's actually no such thing as cream of potato soup. Potatoes don't produce cream. That's cream AND potato soup.

Pierre Pollievre being unwilling to do a Nardwuar interview is low-key an even bigger red flag to me than him being unwilling to get a security clearance 😂

A Western Canadian improv comedy show called "Is It Yer Fuckin' Line Or What, Buddy?"

Absolutely wild to find out that the VP, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State, and a dozen other WH officials all have worse OPSEC than my shroom dealer in high school did 😂

A few of my #CBCGem favorites

I made a very light joke on Threads last night about Pierre Pollievre supporters not paying attention in social studies class, and I woke up to find my IG/Threads account had been mass-reported and banned for it 😂

A party of absolute crybabies

Reminder: we are being trained not to care about other people. It underlines the attacks on migrants, on DEI, on trans youth, on so-called "wokeness."

Sure there are legitimate critiques but this is not about critiques. It's about supercharging capitalism's culture of uncare.

One of the weirder things about growing up in Saskatchewan (of which there are many) is that I'm surrounded by people who brag about and take pride in how we're the home of "The Greatest Canadian" Tommy Douglas, but who also refuse to *ever* vote in favour of any of the things that he believed in.

One thought I had: a lot of countries have public broadcasters, is there any reality where a few of them might band together to share content? Like if Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand public broadcasters put all their content in one basket for viewers from all of those countries to share?

On the plus side, while I've not been able to be very "productive" lately, I have had a ton of downtime to watch CBC Gem this week. All three of these shows are absolutely delightful IMO.

One thing with life-long mental illness is that there's this weird tension when the world is in turmoil, where you have to figure out "is this just 'news' distress I'm feeling right now, or is there some 'better call my doctor' mixed in there, too?"

Like trying to pick out each spice in gumbo.
