I think your confirmation bias is clutching there. You want there to be something in that. Howe will always be measured in public, something he should be respected for. He has lieutenants like Bruno to be a bit more off the cuff.

I think there's more to it than just game management.
We had severe squad burnout last time we were in the champions league. I think there's an effort to conserve energy when we can, to compete across four fronts. We just need a bit of fine tuning and ironing out a few details and it'll come good.

I'm more upset with Wear-tyne derby. Since when did we start naming it after the home side's location. It's played in the region of Tyne&Wear so it's the Tyne&Wear derby.
