Life is all dynamics
IX is my fave Final Fantasy. Maybe my favorite RPG period depending on the day. Fun straightforward gameplay with a great artstyle, and the story... Goddamn. Problems here and there, but the things it explores are wholesale stuff that I adore.

I owe this game a lot for getting interested in writing

I won't say Dark Souls made me love video games again or anything like that, but I remember distinctly being super tired of brown corridor shooters and increasingly simplified RPGs in 2011 and then this thing kicked my ass and showed me games could still be fun and challenging. So close enough

Finding out years later that Majora's Mask was basically made on a bet blew my mind. It had an incredibly rushed development cycle and yet still came out amazing. So much clever design went into MM.

People don't appreciate how well written this game is. It's well above the series standard.

Fatal Frame 2 is the best in the series. It took the surprisingly arcadey-feeling original and gave it much better level design and a fantastic story.

The xbox version had an always-in-first-person mode, and it makes the game like 10 times scarier. Should have become standard for the series imo

There was probably a solid year or two in middle school where I did basically nothing when I was at home except wander around in morrowind. Me and my friends would call each other while playing and excitedly describe what we were doing until our parents screamed at us to get off the landline

This was the first Mega Man game I played and had its hooks in me from the word "go". The pre-cel shading comic book look, the amazing soundtrack, the goofball retro anime story... Few things hit a mood like this. I could run around picking up trash so that roll can make me laserguns forever

enjoying re4 remake but it was a weird choice on capcom's part for this to happen every time luis is onscreen

finished silent hill 2 remake. Some questionable stuff in the end, but overall pretty fun. First Silent Hill game that's actually felt like a Silent Hill game in years

onto the tier list it goes

I don't understand the choice of this sort of imagery in the otherworld of the SH2 remake. It's very 1-3.

SH2's "otherworld segments" felt a lot more cold and clinical. It's like a white hospital room being overtaken by mold and water damage. Not blood and industrial grates

I love volvidon's weapons, but I hate the idea that i am pulling apart a funny armadillo man who loves to fall over every time I make one

look, the daedra all look like darth maul and live in towers called THE NIGHTMARE BLOOD FUCKER ARBORETUM, this is true. But I am also happily walking into their realm, killing them, and literally yanking out their freshly stilled hearts. When it comes to who is evil here I think its kind of a wash

Yes, I actually had never read Murder on the Orient Express until 2025. Didn't really even know a thing about it! I read four Poirot books this year, but this was the best one.

A rare mystery novel where I did not realize who could have done it until near the very end. For a good reason, for once.

I hate calling The October Film Haunt a "take on creepypasta," but a lot of the background set dressing really feels like an attempt to write an actually scary version of the age-old spooky lost media creepypasta.

This book goes places. The ending is not... Altogether satisfying. Worth reading.

The first half of Lost Highway is so scary it feels suffocating. The second half of it, once you finally piece together what's happening, makes you go "oh my god so much horror media has been taking stuff from this".

I had more than one nightmare about this movie. It's goooood

Dream BBQ is one of those things that on the surface might feel like loud annoying zoomer brainsoup, but manages to be more than that without "lore breadcrumbs" or whatever. I really love its creepy tone.

The cartoons are great too. This does an admirable job porting that feel over to playable form

The Guyver is astonishingly stupid and I love it. It's basically Power Rangers if Power Rangers was 10x more violent and people got delimbed graphically in every fight.

Mark Hamill is in it and looks like a confused puppy every moment he's onscreen, it is adorable
