Every year right at midnight, I go into the studio to write a track from start to finish. It sets the tone for the year to come. Around this time, I start mentally preparing for it. I'm not sure why, but I woke up today with the idea that I'll be ready to do it.

I just finished the post work for my three song release, Shattered State for Bandcamp Friday on December 5th. This release is about my sister who passed away. December 5th is her birthday and birthdays always have meaning even after they're gone. Right now, emotions are swirling around in my head.

The Descendents have been one of my three favorite bands for longer than I'd care to admit. They still kill it everytime they play live. I've seen them countless times and they've never put on a bad show. I can't even say that for the Ramones. They're always incredible.

I used to talk about this synth to anyone who would listen. If it wasn't insanely expensive at the time, I would've had three of them.

Now, logic ships with a physical modelling synth which would eat this for lunch. (my slower milestar stuff uses all the physical modelling)
