STOP displaying star ratings as images on your landing pages.

Instead, manually create HTML code (you can ask AI to create it) or use a WordPress plugin.

Why?

Crawlers can easily understand the rating when you include HTML code for it.
You shouldn’t use the same SEO reporting template for all clients.

That’s because not every client wants to track the same KPIs.

For example, one of our local SEO clients only wants to see their current ranking positions and the number of qualified leads.

A quick way to check if your page is indexed:

1. Paste the URL into a Google Sheet.
2. Hover your mouse over the page URL.
3. If a featured image or page preview appears, it usually means the page is indexed.
4. If no preview appears, the page is likely not indexed.

If your SEO agency or team decides which keywords to target based on this KD (Keyword Difficulty) metric, they deserve a 1-hour Zoom meeting every day for the next 30 days 😑

Having no featured image and minimalistic UI > Large featured image with no purpose that buries the blog intro deep down the scroll.

Take Unbounce for example.

- Simple
- Shows TOC at the top
- No need to scroll down to find the content

This is a super useful Ahrefs feature I noticed yesterday.

Ahrefs now shows the traffic chart (from branded vs non-branded keywords).

In fact, you can now know keywords intent like 'Local'.

Here's how this can be useful for you:

If you have a ton of useful guides under your blog archive (/category) pages, always optimize them properly.

See the below screenshot where a blog archive page is ranking for an important search term 'Mergers and Acquisitions.'
