But to open the plant you need to do massive investment which takes time and money (in the billions €). So in the begining you are in red numbers because of the cost you needed to pay upfront. Also workers can be more expensive in US. Building proces will take few years. And than Trump can be gone.

Most of the trade will get lower/zero tariff than it has now and much lower than threatened. EU will get that for buying the stuff which EU is already buying and some unrealistic pledge that everybody knows it is imposible (EU dont need that much fossils and US is not capable to export that).
