thank god somebody pointed out there are actually 366 songs in this book !! it's been bugging me for months /lh
collected lyrics as a form and landed on something more akin to a devotional. The result, which took Darnielle years of writing and refining to even find his way into, is This Year: 365 Songs Annotated: A Book of Days, published this month, less than four weeks after The Mountain Goats' 23rd studio album, Through This Fire Across from Peter Balkan.
