The problem with profiles is the process of distilling who you are into one sentence.

All opinions are my own unless otherwise stated.

[Insert Millennial existential dread here.]
Did we lose our sense of humor? It's like we saw "This is fine," collectively sighed, and gave up on making each other laugh.

Now we prize sincerity and earnestness while leaving ourselves vulnerable to criticism.

Yet we could be indulging in everyday slapstick like hanging spoons off our noses.

To be totally clear, I'm not passing judgement on anyone's content. It's hard to create, and sometimes you gotta go with what you have available. You might not even like it.

And there has to be an FBI profiler tailing Jessica since so many people around her die.

The worst mistake someone in the Murder, She Wrote world can make is riding in an elevator with a person who knows Jessica Fletcher. It's like that starts a death timer.

7.) Let's be real: No one wants to do this, and civic engagement is low. And it's all because it's tedious, boring, and wastes your whole damned day. Enter the people who showed up in a drawing. It doesn't have to be expensive. Just make it an interesting courthouse drop.

6.) Parking will never not be an issue, and the busses around here aren't too reliable. Give people the same kind of incentive you give parkers (about $15-20 of free parking) to get dropped off or take a ride share.

5.) Real simple upgrade for any court: Allow GrubHub and DoorDash (this court isn't near a lot of places to eat).

4.) Another idea? After we're checked in, drop us off at a nearby library with a bailiff. We have something to do, and they know where we are.

3.) Alternately, we could check in online and come down at 10:30, after traffic clears (and an hour and a half later than they have you report now).

2.) "Because they need to get a headcount."

OK. I get that. But how about releasing us to a room with at least a TV instead of having us sit in Holding Cell Simulator?

1.) At this particular court, they know there will be no trial until around lunch. Why have people fight rush hour traffic if this is the case?
