Moving on from the previous questionably written female protags I read Children of Blood and Bone and fell in love with the world and characters. I WILL be continuing that series. And now I'm on to the second installment of Shades of Magic. Delilah is a treasure. #currentlyreading

Reading update:
While I'm here I also might as well share I'm about 1/3rd of the way through Brandon Sanderson's Warbreaker. I love how their emotions are tied to colors. It gives even more nuance to how the characters are feeling. So far, really fun read.

Also for a reading update I’m finishing up Shadow and Bone. I’ve listened to the audiobook before but I’ve had the book on my shelf for a while and the last trip to Missouri took it on the plane with me. I’ll be picking up the rest of the trilogy soon. I’m still upset the show got cancelled.

I’ve been taking a little break from my regular games and went on a nostalgia trip replaying Okami.

Just because I wanted something that felt unique. All the pristine graphics from unreal engine on recent games are wonderful but sometimes I just want something that feels completely different.

I read The Gunslinger and liked it a lot. King’s writing always makes me raise my eyebrow at certain points but after seeing the movie this was a must read.

Now I’m onto Wuthering Heights. Back on my Brontë sisters gothic romance bullshit. 😎

I’ve gotten the 2nd book of the 1st Law series. Everyone suggests Abercrombie if you like Brown or grimdark, but I’m bored. I don’t get the hype, it’s just not for me. I don’t think I’m gonna pick up the 3rd one.

Now onto something more… violent. ☺️ The Red Rising series never disappoints.

Dipping into one of my childhood favorites for a comfort read after all of that.

Started Iron Widow today. I needed a little break from the historical fantasy and gothic literature. The level of anger in this book is perfect for me right now.

Morning Fog

I would have loved to be on sooner but it took me forever to get my invite.

Some family unexpectedly had to move in with us and I had to pack away all of my tarot and oracle decks. I finally made some space on another shelf in the office and it feels so good to see my babies again. 🥹
