Oh I LOVE owning things, haha. And playing on original hardware. So this is just the way it is, I suppose.

As a playstation obsessed teen, I also had no interest in the Dreamcast at the time. But picking one up decades after the fact and really diving into its library has been so much fun. It's a shame that it's getting more and more expensive to collect for now.

I think it was a new Mario Kart entirely.

I feel like I accept that Spirit Away is the "best", but Howl's Moving Castle will always be my favourite.

Even just cutting the length and scope of some of these games down would be appreciated. I don't actually want 50 hours of content to do in every game I buy. More tight, 8-12 hour games would be great.

It's always been a bit of a rule of thumb for me that if someone can't articulate why they dislike something without putting on a silly voice or using a derogatory nickname, then it's not going to be a very well thought out argument. But yes, fuck Trump, just to clear on that, haha.

Nice to see some love for this one. Probably my favourite anime this year. I'm such a sucker for a nice comfy show like this.

Thanks for putting this ACTUALLY at the end of the year. It really irks me seeing so many year-end lists and award shows dropping when there's still a solid portion of year left for stuff the happen in.

Oof, hits me right in the nostalgia. It makes me sad that it ended up being considered the runt of the litter when it comes to the PS1 games, I have so much love for it. And I still think it's a great game, even now.

Hey, surely you could argue "Born for Burning" is somewhat on theme? "Enter the Eternal Fire" maybe?

They really are. The Glow of Embers, in particular, is a song that I just get relentlessly addicted to from time to time.

Thank you! I just never hear people talk about Serenity in Murder. They deserve so much more attention. Reborn fucking floored me when I first heard it.

Absolutely have to call out Stilt, a VR game where you're essentially just a head with pogo-stick arms. It's such a simple idea that you immediately know exactly how to play just by taking one look at it, and it's executed so well that even seemingly tricky platforming is intuited naturally.
