Random thoughts on naturism and our right to be ourselves. Hopefully these posts will contribute a little to normalising nudity everywhere. Stay free, Liam. 🍻

Greetings to the naturist community here. And to everyone considering that option.

Lila Thornton: When I’m naked in nature with the warmth of the sun and the coolness of the air dancing on my skin, it’s like I’m one with the world’s pulse. Every sensation feels like a gift of freedom.

Marc Alain Descamps: Nudity is the courage to be seen as you are, without artifice, in the fullness of your humanity.

While we're at it, countries and corporations might try the same strategies. Men really have made an appalling hash of things.

Walt Whitman: There come moods when these clothes of ours are not only too irksome to wear, but are themselves indecent.

Marilyn Monroe: A woman came up to me and asked: 'You mean to say you didn't have anything on when you had that calendar picture taken?' I drew myself up and told her: 'I did too have something on. I had the radio on.'

Whoever denies me, it shall not trouble me;
Whoever accepts me, he or she shall be blessed, and shall bless me.

Win that battle and perhaps equal pay and representation in government might follow! 🌷

Shirley Mason: The body is not obscene; the laws that criminalise it are. Allowing nudity everywhere, where it’s non-sexual, would break down barriers of judgement and let people live without hiding who they are.

Kevin Rampe: Above all else, be daring, be bold, be unconventional

Tessa Hughes: The WNBR is wholesome fun that makes you feel alive - cycling naked with a crowd, music blasting, and everyone cheering for the environment and freedom. It’s a playful, public way to show that nudity and activism can be a joyful combo.

Paulo Coelho: It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.

There are quite a few older buildings in NYC, a few going back to the 17th century. But it's not a town noted for its preservation of the past. There are lots of blocks of flats of the same age and design of our old joint though.

Well, ancient by New York standards, not British and Irish. They do like knocking things down and building new ones here. It's early 20th century. There's even an old gaslight fitting (non-operational) in the bathroom.

Happily, this ancient block of flats we're in has piped heating that doesn't cost any extra and keeps the place bare-friendly through much of winter. Admittedly, while doing so, it often makes the sound of a Mediæval knight falling down a stone staircase. Swings and roundabouts.

Nothing says erotomania like caring for small marsupials. 🙄

Happy you're here!

Perhaps for a minority who feel the law has no business telling us what to wear, it would be consistent to encourage naturists to follow whatever grooming style makes them happy. It can't possibly hurt anyone.

I don't really think it's much different from men's preferring a shaved face or a beard. Or wearing their hair cut short or in the sort of haystack arrangement I have, last fashionable in 1973. It's just a matter of finding a style you enjoy.

Well, that's less an aesthetic or ideological statement than increased laziness in retirement.

Nudity can also be a little unusual and supernatural, but absolutely worth celebrating!
