The squares have been outlined with a brown pen leaving spaces between the squares. The spaces are decorated with gold lines running between the squares. Each square, there are twelve has a number. Four squares in each row and there are three rows. The numbers top row 2712, middle row 1955 and the bottom row 2025. The numbers are written in gold and outlined with red.

A leaf - any usually flattened green outgrowth from the stem of a vascular plant.

The textured nature of the greens inspired me to find a way to set them off to their best advantage. The solid matt density of my new gouache paints were just the job. New?? Some of these paints were with me at Art Collec in the 1970's.
