The camera controls could have been much better. It's the only criticism I can think of.

Besides that, the music, level design (personally prefer SMG 1 over SMG 2 for that), gameplay, and bosses are all top tier.

I'll speak to this as someone who first played it in 2008.

It is literally one of the best games of all time. Super revolutionary back then and now.
