Studio albums, Spectral Mornings and Voyage of the Acolyte are essential. All his live albums of the last 6-7 years are great, just pick the material you like best 😁

Right on Mike! I adore Nightwish, they’re the proggiest of the major symphonic metal bands imo. But symphonic metal isn’t for everyone, I know. Please do let me know what you think!

No, that’s the perfect place to start, with the most recent “Yesterwynde” - I do think you’d dig it. Then if you like that, the prior 2 “Human II Nature” and “Endless Forms Most Beautiful” are equally terrific. After that it would check out two from the Tarja era, “Century Child” and “Oceanborn”.

Did you ever listen to Wucan? If not you need to! Lead singer Francis Toblosky is also a flautist and they do sound like Tull at times!

It bears some resemblance to metanoia era PT but it’s kind of its own thing. Worth a listen! Nothing earth-shattering here, but it’s cool.

Yes, and at least at that time that was the plan, but nothing firm had been set. I am pretty confident they will though.

Same. Only thing I can come up with is he doesn’t want to tour.

Definitely sounds like the kind of music Edwin and Mailgland would make together. Which certainly works for me!

Yes indeed Graham, and it was great to hear that material played so well live by this band. Every time I’ve seen Hackett the show has been different which is super cool!

Steven has said there will NOT be (unfortunately)…but he is definitely prone to saying things in a definitive manner which he then changes his mind about 😂

Actually this is the first one in several years in which we do not - while we were at the 2024 U.S. Morsefest (which is the same music being performed), this time Neal chose the Morsefest UK performance for the official release. While I would love to go to a UK Morsefest, I haven‘t yet 😆

I do like it! I think I would have benefited from a bit of trimming, but lots of good stuff here for sure.
