I guess voice actors should now be replaced because sometimes it takes them over a month to record all their lines. Ig developers should be replaced because their work takes months-years to finish

You know it's really funny because this train of thought is diminishing to almost every other concept artist in the industry by saying that obviously their work wouldn't have gotten this support unless they used AI. Definitely not validating every argument against you

You are simultaneously arguing that AI is helping manage budgets but that the things it's generating are out there with no one being hired to do it so it doesn't take away anyone's jobs. Either way, the conclusion that AI's usage is a bad thing applies to both arguments so bringing this up is moot

If what you're saying is true and they couldn't have hired artists they should've waited before getting the necessary funds or just not made the game to begin with. Even if E33 was the greatest game of all time (which, lol), it would never justify any of this

Ok, and? Is the implication here that there was literally no other place the budget could've been cut down on during production so they could actually hire people to do a job because I doubt that's the case

It detracts from the very concept of art, and the mindset that AI is only bad if it does something explicitly bad is incredibly flawed. Concept art designers are still workers too or is their exclusion here inconsequential and lesser to you?

Also, what you are saying attributes the game's success to AI rather than the artists who actually worked on it, by implying the game would not be at this level of quality without AI, which is literally proving the point

Fun fact, other indie games released this year have been great if not better than E33 without needing to resort to AI, to say nothing of indie games released in years past.
