The worse part is hoping the tariffs are negotiated away is not going to happen because the BBB tax law that passed assumes the YTD May 2025 tariffs stay in-place.
They had a purpose.
So that $3T deficit from CBO will only "increase" if tariffs go away. Therefore tariffs on consumers likely stay.

While other countries reorganize their economies around US tariffs, the backfire to the US will be a shrinking economy.
Tariffs = tax on Americans, cuts corp profits, and shrinks economy
Given national debt is 125%+ of GDP, that % only goes up when calculated against a shrinking GDP number.

A lawsuit is important to bring some accountability. I don't see there is any other checks-and-balances going on.

Much of the tax cuts and spend is based on major tariff revenues.
- but not negotiated yet
- doesn't factor in retaliation
- will be paid for by consumer prices and reduction in corp profits, which leads to less jobs/raises and less consumption
All points to polarization and a shrinking economy.

When confidence drops, people consume less and save more. That fits with a shrinking economy.
Maybe confidence is tied to the undercurrent of global polarization and the USA building walls against the ROW. That is a macro shift that leads to a continual shrinking in the economy + black swan events.

The tax bill's largest item is $5.5 trillion dollar tariff revenue assumption, used to offset tax cuts to the wealthy.
Tariffs paid by USA consumers or business (lower profits, ie no raises, cut hours, or layoffs to workers).
Tariffs are still in negotiation...
More like a corporate raid on USA.

Never let this Emil Bove become a federal appeals judge. How can he even be nominated, deliberately ignore an official court ruling.
But Trump did this before. He nominated people to head the very departments they were against, and then we see they go on to "dismantle" the organization from within.

Yes, for countries, it means redundancy, maybe stratifying levels for sensitive vs not info between systems, for national security.
For individuals, it is like voting, a way to vote, to invest with a purpose.

True. Outside of USA, Musk is no longer trusted, new alignments, national security issue: ie other countries diversifying out of SpaceX, Starlink… into competitors.
Idea: we can too
- Space launch - Rocket Labs (RKLB)
- Satellites - Telesat Corp (TSAT)

If they are not doing actual "undercover activity", they should be required to show official ID. There should be a law. Otherwise we are entering a world of brown shirt nazi times, where people go around terrorizing and beating people up under cover of being part of a "police" organization.

Probably a brain drain going on at SpaceX and Starlink. We are seeing the same happen at Tesla where the heads of several departments left. With bad morale, a chaotic Musk, bad things start to happen.
I do see other companies taking on the role. Globally I believe the rise of other companies.

Elon's near monopoly on space launches and satellite services to countries and militaries is changing as other countries are realizing the global order is becoming more tri-polar, USA is backing away from roles/treaties/norms, and general reassessment of national security requirements.
