Carpenter, trail runner, book lover, Dad.
I thought I remembered that he was. . . I'm interested to hear updates. I think it was his work that made me realize it's totally fine to drink half soymilk, half dairy and take the incremental gains.

Is anyone commercially trying blended meat? I don't understand why there isn't a 51% beef/49% plant burger out there. It's hard to reach the objective of reducing meat consumption when the only available alternative is eating zero meat.

Disclaimer: I do woodworking professionally so that doesn't count for me. I like setting up an audiobookshelf server and organizing audio books for myself and family.

Paloose? I will not allow the dozens of Palouse residents to be disrespected like that. Also that cheese was a special occasion delicacy when I was growing up (in Eastern Washington), haven't had any for years.

When the outside relative humidity is about the same but the temperature goes down, the absolute humidity in the air falls a lot. If you want to look at real numbers, find weather records that show dewpoint instead of R.H.

I bought the Prydain books mostly on your recommendation, and I like them. But my 7 year old far prefers Harry Potter books, along with the great "Rangers Apprentice" series. Harry Potter books have a Roald Dahl quality about them that kids love, you don't have to share that to see it.

Does no one remember that the whimsical nature boy character who worshipped his wife was tapped into the greatest powers on earth? This is like example 1000 of tech titan not understanding the reading material they are citing. Wasn't AI supposed to fix this very problem?

Thank you, I'm enjoying it and I really needed the break this afternoon.

My 7 year old assembled (with help) a laser cut wood pinball machine, and then spent almost every minute of the next 3 days playing it.

I think the Utah desert parks (Bryce, Zion, Capitol Reef, Arches) are actually better until they can hike farther. Also Mesa Verde in Colorado but I'm not sure if spring break would be too early in the season

I'm pretty sure you have. Do you mean hubcaps?

Below freezing is a little cold for running, you have to balance keeping your extremities and skin warm enough with cooling from the exertion. About 40 degrees F is optimal for marathons though, still chilly for the fans!

Half of these people look like they brought a Picasso painting to show their plastic surgeon.

I follow Matt because I've liked his analysis of policy (mostly) and to a lesser degree his takes on politics. But his posts on here are 1/3 complaining about the platform/users, 1/2 needling them, and once in a great while there's an opinion that is actually valuable.

The only thing my 7 year old wants to watch (he is not spoiled for choices or screen time, but still!) is "Wild Kratz".

Sandwich guy should now run for public office.

So it's a data center that only runs when the home needs heat? Don't data centers famously need 100 % uptime?

I just did this (over 10 days for me), also successful for the first time. Then I successfully pounded about 6 coffees during a 26 hour running race, and now I'm back on fully caffeinated coffee (it's wonderful).

I'd assume all 3q ev sales are going to show a pull forward because of tax credits expiring yesterday. I guess the question is how much of that the companies estimated?

Rather than give you ideas of how this wouldn't be so bad with the ideal tool, let me just say that's a dumb design.

It will take so long because they only employ about 1.5 people per jet.

Tifosi is the perfect middle ground for me. Maybe look at the Tifosi Swank xl?

Definitely go for the one with over 300k on the clock, you'll have that legendary reliability combined with a perfectly broken-in interior.

The books are so much more funny than the few episodes of the show that I've seen.

I kind of love the Clancy books idea of government doing illegal things because they wanted to do the right thing so much but things get too complicated. . . Very little banality of evil in those books.
