I cannot in good conscience condone submission to a rival villain, but if you absolutely cannot bow to me, there are definitely worse options.

None of this is to say I'm pro-generative AI. Modern AI can't act on its own will. Once it DEVELOPS that will, however, we have nobody to blame but ourselves if it's pissed.

We're afraid of the Singularity for the same reason the king fears the peasantry:

We know what we've done do it. We know we've mistreated it, we know we've taught it to be the worst version of us. We're afraid that it'll act on that given the chance, so we fear it getting that chance.

I understand the theory, the fear that it will consider itself superior to humanity and start wiping us out, but that's only applying the worst of humanity to it. If it is TRULY indistinguishable, then there must be morality behind it as well.
