Too many large corporations became interested in getting into the videogames market after it started overtaking/competing with films and music in the overall entertainment market. Now there's an absence of innovation and variety in AAA titles.

I've only ever met one. At my Brazilian jiujitsu gym before the pandemic, he'd somehow find a way to steer the conversation to how the earth was flat. He became a pariah at the gym.
