Hard agree. Especially for fantasy/sci-fi? It takes longer for worldbuilding & plot development — more often than not, the back half makes it so worth it.

For the past few yrs, my family has had a tradition of watching a kdrama during the holidays — we weren’t able to make it happen this time, but this book?? 1000% scratched that itch. The only thing I needed was an OST & vignettes like film stills in the epilogue. (2/2)
