Is search just broken here for anyone else, regardless of the terms used? I can't find anything now, when all I really want is some actual clarification on whether Bluesky's usage of Hive *actually* constitutes generative AI model training, as the latter company promotes it on their site.

Praying it's *just* for moderation like people say it is but unless one of them comes out and says it, I have to treat this like our shit *is* being used to generate AI "content" as well.

The possibility is clearly there, and I have reason not to trust Bluesky when their reps are purposely vague.

Quitting social media altogether is still on the table I guess. I don't know how much I want to.

I'm always being reminded I *should* make a website for myself too but I want to *actually talk to people* as well, not just infrequently release long-ass blog posts about some niche topic I'm into.

Tumblr probably wouldn't be... the worst option? I'm hearing a lot about Mastodon which honestly maybe should have taken off instead of Bluesky but here we are.

Problem with Mastodon is it's even *less* mentioned in the wild than Bluesky, and people already don't use Bluesky as-is Because Numbers.

It would be one thing if Bluesky were clear that our media isn't being used for generative AI specifically, but I have yet to see a definitive confirmation one way or the other. Hive are literally out here saying they offer the ability to Generate Content™ though so like, which is it Bluesky?

Also I know you can revert to the original, intended audio track but that's only on the desktop site from what I can tell. I watch YouTube on the mobile site most of the time. They actually seem dead set on speedrunning making YouTube unusable for anything with all these decisions, jesus fuck.

Automatic dubbing is so fucking ass I've watched videos with exclusively English dialog still get hit with autodubbing, just because the uploader is situated overseas.

Literally just muffling the original audio track for no reason.

In Pikmin 4 Ask the Developer, Miyamoto-san literally said:

“ピクミンは、あなたの近くにいるよ”
→ Pikmin are close to you

(The official English transcript is “Pikmin are all around us” instead, because they translated it idiomatically instead of literally.)
