it's still there so yeah i think i got a permanent scar filming a video i never made lol
looking at my camera's sd card and realizing that this footage of me opening a package for a video that i never ended up making is the last existing footage of my right hand before getting a (tiny) scar that hasn't gone away nearly 6 months later

also in peripheral world: i bought a huion keydial mini to see if a doohickey with a wheel would help my productivity.
and it is definitely a huion product. i thought mine just wouldn't work with the drivers (which would certainly be a huion moment) until i unplugged the cable and paired it with bt

trying out the kensington expert wireless. unfortunately that non-wireless one that i thrifted couldn't give me a good sense of if it would be comfortable for long-term use because it isn't exactly usable

omg my protoarc trackball's scroll wheel developed the same issue as that horrible vertical mouse my mom let me borrow. the rubber ring on the scroll wheel came loose so it spins independently of the actual wheel

I activated my stupid brainworm and i'm looking at the model f keyboards website again
i used to enjoy tinkering with my bullshit but now i kind of see the keyboard as a tool. i just want the damn thing to work
if i get another board it'll probably either be a realforce (practical) or one of those repro model f keyboards (fun). i don't think mx-compatibles have my heart anymore

i really really like thumb clicking but i think i'm finding more and more that my hand just does not like thumb scrolling. wish i could have something like the orbit fusion but without the awful wrist ergonomics (for my hand)

Lite Star (JungleTac predecessor) product btw. My understanding is that this is part of a deal between Sega and UMC that basically granted the Sega license to anyone that made use of UMC's Mega Drive on a Chip
was talking about this in a discord last night but shoutouts to the "Sega Mega Drive 3" plug and play console that, despite having full holographic SEGA license stickers and everything, is quite clearly running a bootleg multicart with repeated games.
