the bit corp. gambler games are mysteries wrapped in enigmas, and if i were to lay it all out on a table for you, i'd have what looks like 40% of a jigsaw puzzle -- until you notice that half of those are just different versions of other pieces. there's just so, so, so fuckin much. iceberg meme shit

the fact these games are so cheaty is what fascinates me so much. as someone who "knows" gambling, i know the house always wins; it might not always in the short term, but law of large numbers and averages and all. if you have a sub-100% return rate, why add cheating on top? especially for a game??

dian shi ma li / big tv mario bar also has the hi-lo/big-small game. unlike the one in the poker game, this one is very, very blatantly unfair: with savestates, you can try over and over, and when it wants you to lose, you will lose. period.

the poker game is... not something i am capable of figuring out alone, haha. i am not aware of a single poker game, video or otherwise, that has the same ruleset.

the hi-lo / big-small game odds are comparatively simple: 50-50 (unless it cheats). unlike the reels of the slot, the cards here are completely meaningless; the game chooses if you win or lose first, then pulls a card that fits.

my biggest weakness in 6502 assembly is CMP / BCS / BCC ... it's not supposed to be hard, but something about those specific operations always gets me lost
