a couple days later, i had a functioning prototype. i didn't have much confidence in my ability and figured that someone else with more experience would've jumped in to help already, but then i saw them post about considering switching to softr (another codeless portal service) so i shot them a DM

likely the result of someone else (who does not follow me, smh) putting it on tenor, with tenor's SEO being so cracked that it managed to appear before any results for the image that it's referencing for a period (but not anymore, now it's second)

someone stole my gif and got more engagement than i've gotten on any single thing i have ever released

But they really couldn't help themselves... I'd assume that the console includes this built-in ROM to throw off customs (much like the screw-selection system on later ANF units), but the Turbo Charger pack comes with this suspicious cart. It's the very same Funtime 76000 in 1 ROM as the Super Joy 3!

The Turbo Charger is mainly interesting because it includes a Nature Color Game-branded menu on the built-in ROM. This seems to have been Sinango's early attempt at releasing a "legal" console (they'd later use Waixing games)

the blowjob brothers: a Sinango "Turbo Charger" XA-118 and an absolutely tortured Waixing Megapad that still works somehow

Going off of one specific model, NS-850 (UM6578) more closely resembles a Dreamcast comtroller, has a rubberized joystick, a select button with reset being its own dedicated button, and a 1P/2P switch. NS-860 (VT03) has a slightly shortened face (and therefore longer grips) and loses these features.

I honestly don't remember if the PS-KID does it or not, but from memory the only cartridge-based Famiclone that I have that doesn't swap duty cycles is this one.

The caveat is that it's moulded in such a way that doesn't seem to fit standard Famicom cartridges

grahh i thought that it would be super easy to just convert my vertical sequence into widescreen so that i could reuse the existing labels but it looks like it's not going to be quite so simple
