been watching little bits of local tv channels through my larger CRT with my antenna hooked up to it and I gotta say there's something nice about this.

![Animation guide for the walk animation I finished for my revision of Somari's/Sonic's sprite sheet.
Text reads as follows:
"Walking (for Somari):
Frame 0 is the starting frame that plays only once when walking from a standstill. Otherwise the loop is: 1-2-3-4-5-6-3-2 [these refer to individual frames, I numbered them higher up in the sheet]
Walking (for Sonic/Hummer):
Sonic's walk is weird in that it differs between how it looks *when memory editing* vs. how it is actually in normal *gameplay.*
*When memory editing,* the animation, like Somari's, has a starting frame that plays only once and is skipped in the loop. The loop for this case is: 1-2-3-4-5-6-3-6
*In-game,* however, *frame 0 is used* in the loop. *Frame 4 does not show up* in this walk cycle, but rather rarely appears should you walk up against a slope at just the right timing [do not ask me for specifics I have no clue what makes it show up]

Otherwise, *for all characters* walking at *vertical* or *diagonal* angles, assume *Somari's* animation loop order for the respective frames.

currently revising a sprite sheet right now and, along the way, a small yet weird thing I found out just a few minutes ago is that Sonic is slightly brighter in Special Stages in every Somari variant he's playable in.
