Dude I wasn't necessarily going to boycott them I was just hugely disappointed. But the more they bumble this topic the less interested i am in their next project. Like Jesus Christ at least Todd Howard knows how to handle controversy and when to shut up.

Well fuck. As for starfinder I feel like there hasn't been enough about the game to really say if it looks good or not. Like im a fan of paizo but that's not indication of how good of a crpg they will make.

And here my dumbass was exited for a new divinity and hard-core rpg. Well hopefully owlcat doesn't do anything evil before their new game releases. Not a lot of good new crpgs out there lol.

This is actually great to hear because ive noticed a lot of players using Ai stuff in online tables I joined. I didn't make a big stink about it since it was a payed game but between that and the casual Ai use in games that I either liked or looked forward to its been kinda depressing.

Now part of that is likely because im not a power gamer, I try to optimize a bit more in pf2e because I play casters but even then my gms have been pretty giving and most have thrown in free archtype without anyone asking. I don't discount your experience i just never had it i guess. (2/2)

I mean first what its worth i don't find any of what you are saying to be particularly unreasonable. Gms deserve to have fun too especially with the work they put in. Personally I just tend to be down fir most types of games a gm will run. Its just most my gms weren't bothered by power (1/2)

I started with megaman 1 with the legacy collection. Its hard and old but you have quick saves so its not to bad.

I like and love both games and I don't take back my praise towards E33 but the fact that it had AI does raise look outside a lot in my book. And at the very least there should be a conversation if any game eith any AI deserves GOTY

Unfortunately game industry is going to game industry and larian is no exception. Hell even thd knes who dont use AI are probably evil in other ways like Nintendo. Shit is depressing.

Unfortunately a lot of the times a company that makes something you love is evil and does fucked up shit. People need to accept it and not defend it. Like even you buy divinity when it comes out at least shut up and stop defending larian.

I think people just need to accept that sometimes the company that made the thing you like does fucked up things, instead of pretending they don't and defending the company.

Like I definitely think pf2e is a far better made game and I like it before but I'm definitely not picking that many exploration utility spells unless im a high level and those slots dont matter. Combat utility is different though depending on what we count as utility.

As for how pf2e handles that stuff im pretty conflicted. I actually got a pretty fun use out of charm but that's because I was wizard with spell substitution and if I had had it I probably would have never had a chance to use it. I honestly haven't seen many fun uses of those kinds of spells

Do im not going to deny what you said is technically true but I will say ive never really had people get that upset about the stuff ge it gm or players. Hell ive had gms give me more broken stuff the I wanted. Tbh the reasons I swiched to pf2e was just because character creation lolned cool

Oh when I say utility i mean roleplay/exploration. I just generally found those spells to be the most fun especially since those are aspects that I couldn't really get from video games so they felt pretty unique to me at the time.

Tbf fandoms typically get insanely defensive regardless of the morality of the creators. Like they would be obnoxious even if Larian wasn't doing bs. I know this because everything i like has some of the craziest fans ive seen. Like hard-core spider-man fans are fucking wild.

See the game being bigger doest bother me. I've seen big games get bigger and be fine. But the others do give bad vibes. Like I was exited for divinity but getting a game out quicker on a new engine and expanding the studio are all code words for disaster in my experience.

Its kinda funny because if they had just shut thd fuck up about it and not bragged about it in an interview they probably would have gotten away with it. Like you don't see the E33 deves bragging about their supposed AI in an interview they just kept quiet and moved on.

Ah I got you. I think i can see that angle. I read it as more depressed man in his late 30s who never applied himself because he was too afraid to take risks. Its part of why I find him somewhat disappointing because I feel like they dont follow up on it.

Yeah both are pretty good. Though I have fell off ultimate spider-man a bit and kinda wish we had and ultimate green goblin book instead. Simply because despite circumstances Peter feels pretty much like a normal spider-man but this is the most interesting Harry Osborne ive ever seen.
