eventhough i live on one of those smaller state capitals (ca. 200k inhabitants), there were 18000 people at the protest against rightwing politics today, despite freezing temperatures, when only 1500 were expected. that gives me hope.

Letztes Wochenende noch einen großen Streit mit meiner Mutter darüber gehabt, dass CDU wählen bedeutet AFD zu wählen. Hat sie mir nicht glauben wollen.
Also nein, ich werde dieses Wochenende nicht zu besuch kommen. Ich muss auf Demos und für unser Land und unsere Demokratie kämpfen.

Hab mir grade die Augen ausm Kopf geheult als ich an meine Omas gedacht habe. Was die wohl heute sagen würden zu unserer politischen Entwicklung, nachdem beide den zweiten Weltkrieg miterlebt haben. Eine als Kind, die andere als junge Mutter. Beide als vertriebene. Mir tut alles weh

Currently reading a book on womens movements and feminism. Couple of things:
1. There used to be so many clubs and associatons that all used to give out weekly papers. I wish we still did it this way instead of newsletters and shouting in social medias.

Watching the multi-cam livestream of the Grindavík area feels a little like obersavion duty.
Also, makes me feel like a disaster tourist. Like a house in your village on fire and everyone gathers around to watch it burn down in horror. though I'm just over here thinking hopefully everything is ok

We need to normalize walking up to people and complimenting their obvious appeal wear more. I've had a woman my age walk up to me and starting to compliment my hair and asking about it, and it honestly made my day :)

Finally reading 'The Golden Enclaves', the third book of the Scholomance Trilogy. I've been wanting to devour it since I finished the second one back in July. Now that I've let that one settle for a bit, I'm ready for the finale!
