Writing is like cooking coffee.
You just grind some fragrant thoughts and ideas, boil a pot of tropes and pour it all through the filter of everything you’ve ever seen, heard and felt. Et voilà:
A muddy soup that’s kind of addictive and leaves you with a sour taste and heart-pounding anxiety.
