I talk about advertising, unionisation, and gaming a lot. I have fur babies and food comas. Prone to an occasional rant (soz).

It’s sad that when you’re a kid, you assume grown ups are smart and know everything, but when you grow up, you realise that they’re all fucking idiots.

Also celebrity version of the traitors is on later.

Wife teaches primary.

Was explaining to her kids about misinformation and "you can't trust all sources".

Kid went home and picked up a can of tomato sauce and asked mum, "Is this a lying sauce, mum?"

Wife and Mum realised what had happened at parents' evening and rolled around laughing about it!

I know. I was saying the other day, it's 'hate scrolling' for me.

I go there in a masochistic spiral, mainly, and then come here to complain about it. Pathetic on all sides, to be fair.
slightlyrandom.bsky.social
Hmmm that sounds like it could be true but probably isn’t

But essentially you’re saying, “you get loads of self indulgent assholes because you are one”

I’d buy that. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I can't tell if half of LinkedIn is on cocaine, or if it's just people who grew up being told they were special every five minutes.

I really love the idea of Jamie Oliver washing a bunch of carrots in his washing machine like it's a normal thing to do.

Tell me you live in Surrey without telling me you live in Surrey.
slightlyrandom.bsky.social
What the fuck has Jamie Oliver got to do with washing machines?

"Serial Founder"

I found one of those Kellogg's multipack boxes at the back of the cupboard the other day.

Came to say this. Please delete this post as it is misinformation and is eroding the message you intended to send.

It's funny, because virtue by its nature is the manifestation of admirable character, conduct or skill. None of which are visible in these "why won't they read my favourite book" posts.
slightlyrandom.bsky.social
I see Planners are on Linkedin complaining about what books people have or haven't read again.

It's giving "the decline of Western economic power" energy.

What on earth does this mean?

How much fuet did you manage to smuggle down your pants through customs?

Just had a mini craving for a smoke and realised it's now 7 months since I quit. My god, what a relief it is to be free of that horrible vice.

I’ve seen people reference ‘hate watching‘ of shows, but yet to see ‘hate scrolling’.

That’s LinkedIn for me.

Scrolling through sycophants, career obsessives and phoneys, and getting angrier and more depressed, yet compelled to come back and hate scroll some more.

It’s the bleakest of places.

This is the most unhinged cream/jam on a scone photo that I’ve ever seen.

I think we can all agree that this is just wrong. 😑

Yesterday was actually quite fun - if you were ever curious to know about my views on pineapple on pizza (pro), scone etiquette (side by side) and whether or not I’m being held hostage by a cat, here’s your chance.

For anyone playing Manor Lords, the new update is massive and will totally change the game for you.

Really love the development journey of this game. Can't recommend it enough. If you're into city builders, then this is essentially the best in that overall genre for some time.
