Since the Irish Road Safety Authority (not on here but we can email ) has a budget for awareness & education it would be brilliant to see it being spent on this & similar posters of yours! Just about to order some for a pop-up event our volunteer group is planning. @irishcyclingcmpn.bsky.social

It really is and our Road Safety Authority also has the Seatbelt Sherriff campaign for primary school children. Our minister with responsibility for road safety spoke in parliament yesterday about the finds he is providing to the org for awareness & education at 1st, 2nd and 3rd level

Any idea what the current fine for return is? After the new reg is implemented should they be returned at all unless the owner can show they have access to private land to use them on?

Thanks @emcreative.ie for reposting, It's well worth a listen and I might not have come across it otherwise. Yes, re the Science, I wonder would the Professor fancy a Career Break year as a Government Advisor, the OPW or various ministries could do with her expertise!

I don't know about Paris specifically but my understanding of the French number plate for bikes, from reading the French FUB, (equivalent of Irish Cycling Campaign) website some time ago is that it is an anti-theft measure, that you register the number with the police.

Thank you for this! I have a friend who uses a smartphone but not SM so your proposal that IR should use its own platforms is an excellent one

November 26, 2025 at 8:18 PM
That would have meant acknowledging a Green initiative but now that it is so popular hopefully any row back would cause uproar. Roll out to continue to 2026 so hopefully some new services on the way for areas not benefiting yet Expansion of #WinterReady budget to grit Local Link roads needed too

Tell me how to pronounce the not sauce one please!

That's poor on such a busy street. We have a bus stop on a narrow pavement outside a shop. It serves both the half hourly S2 town service and several Local Link services .. There is no space for a conventional shelter but I wondered if the shop would accept a decent awning even if not a bench.
