Dolts like McKenzie need to be challenged to explain what they mean by Zionism. It is necessarily involves supporting a Jewish homeland but how that homeland is managed and maintained is open to all manner of views. Do they support, for example, the Zionism of the current Israeli government?

I would hope so too. I confess I was thinking about what people of good conscience would do. I was thinking about the way the corporate media would cover the issue. Methinks it would be very different.

To turn this on its head: what would be the response if the board cancelled an Israeli writer because the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people would mean that their appearance would not be 'culturally sensitive'?
