an exhibit display case showing Austin Spare's personal training deck of tarot cards (1906). the deck is layed out in four rows; the top two rows are his illustrated major arcana ("the fool's journey" cards); the third row have numbers (not in numerical order), with illustrated lines, bodies, hands, a cup, and a torn paper overlapping between cards; the fourth row has five cards of block colour (black, sage green, gray, light pink, dark purple), then six more illustrated cards. all except the block colour have annotations jotted at the tops. within a glass case, a couple rows of (reprinted copies of) tarot playing cards from roughly 1400s. the designs are shown to have been water damaged. the originals of these cards were found in Milan. a mixed medium tapestry (1788-1792) depicting the suits of a tarot deck. pentacles are instead represented as the planets instead. an ornate sewed design lines the piece; on white paper the suits are arranged to form a box, with swords in a line at the top of the page, cups coming down on the left, swords on the right, and planets at the bottom; within that box are the aces, kings, queens, knights and pages of each suit, along with the major arcana. a print of "the sun" card from Suzanne Treister's 'HEXEN 5.0' deck. the card shows a tree, a circle above it with the sun & moon either side, and a tent & mountains in the background at the top. in the sky it says "anarcho primitivism" (left) & "post-left anarchism" (right), with "an end to industrial civilisation" in the tent (centre). the circle reads "fifth estate magazine" with "founded 1965/1975" over it. either side of the tree the text reads "the destruction of technology", "eradication of all forms of domination", "no institutions of hierarchy and control", "informal affinity based associations rewinding" (left), "abolition of the producer-consumer based society", "geographic, social, cultural, imaginal autonomous zones now", "the complete dissolution of abstract power", & "the values and goals of those who produce and control technology are always embedded within it" (right)

i work in mixed mediums, tho my usual styles are in zine making, illustration, clay sculpting, video, and performance art.
