Such a strange episode, but it works! The minimal sets and the red sky of the Melokotian‘s planet gives it an eerie atmosphere, and it’s well acted and directed.

Yeah, The Tholian Web doesn’t get nearly as much love as it should, but in my mind, it’s the best episode of the 3rd season.

The 1st episode I ever saw as a kid in the early ‘70s was “Fun and Games,” with Nick Adams and Nancy Malone. The Senator freaked me out and the Calco Galaxy aliens terrified me.
