That was a heck of a winter storm. 24.2 inches of snow on December 30th (7 of it falling between 3am and 7am). Second most snow for a calendar day on record for Syracuse, NY. I also spent 24 of the past 48 hours at work plowing the main waste water treatment plant. Happy New Year!

Bit by the nostalgia bug and started playing a game of Master of Orion 2 this week. Then I got to thinking about a similar old game and didn't know the name of it, just a few visions of some screens. It's amazing how a quick google search for "90s 4x games" found it. Ascendancy.

Saw a license plate on a car today that read IAM SHAQ. Now I wouldn't be shocked if Shaq had a license plate like that, but I highly doubt he drives a mid-sized car in New York state.

Detroit Red Wings down 1-0 going into the 3rd period and I'm thinking the period will drag on hoping to tie it up. Detroit then proceeds to tie the game 30 seconds into the period. Damn. For once it was nice to be wrong. #hockey

Watching some old WWE pay-per-views (mid-late 80's) and it's amazing how angry the crowd gets when the bad guys cheat, but then cheer so loud when the good guys cheat.

One of the accidents involved a tanker truck at work that was hauling sludge. The sludge was being cleaned up by a vacuum truck and people with squeegees. That's really gross because I work for the department that runs the waste treatment plants. Yeah, "sludge".

Hell of an afternoon at work today. Hydraulic hose blew on the truck I was using to plow and two traffic accidents occurred within a quarter mile of where I was at the time. No injuries that I'm aware of. I was not involved in either accident. I think I'm going to spend the rest of the day inside.

I don't know if it's the coaching change or what, but the Red Wings have been doing a lot better clearing the puck out of their own zone and sustaining some pressure in the offensive zone since Christmas. #hockey

Didn't get a chance to watch the Red Wings game last night, so I'm watching it now. I haven't been able to watch the Detroit feed in years. It's so nice to see Chris Osgood finally looks like he's 30 years old after watching him play net for over a decade at age 14. Such a babyface back then.
