Yeah I just don't buy it lol. As I said, I think the movie actually cares about the whole thing being blown over and I explained why I think that.

Are you being snarky? Because I don't agree at all. Nobody cares for children any more. They frequently vanish and their vanishing hasn't been a big deal in like 10+ years. The movie strongly alludes to this, actually in one scene in particular and also in its title. Oh hey, why do children vanish?

There is a term called "vorauseilender Gehorsam" and sadly it is no composition. It is, however, a turn of phrase that normal germans have actually heard of.
