The thing is, I never think these experiments were about helping people in the general sense. Whether it's genetics, Tuskegee syphilis crap, or the US Navy secretly spraying bacteria in San Francisco Bay...they may say it's about the greater good, but it's only for the good of the...

More and more I've realized that the classic "playing god" scientist of Frankenstein fame wasn't just a critique of asshole scientists who felt their knowledge made them immune to morality...but really was just an honest depiction of all science up until very recently. And to a degree, even still.

Did you know that entire fields of cytology, molecular biology, microbiology, endocrinology, etc would basically literally just not exist the way they are today if not for the doctors and scientists unethically experimenting and harvesting samples from black people, most of all black women?

Normal trains can be boys, but it's mostly the insane fiddly ones from the early ages of steam.

Also jet powered trains. Purely because nothing says "boy" like "let's strap an aircraft engine to a train to make it go zoom."
