Hear, hear!

I wish they had released the names of all those people at the discussion table who thought this was worth considering. Better yet, a t-shirt of all their dumb faces. With appropriate captions

Wildlife overpasses need to be encouraged where possible. Vital for animals and so lovely to look at.

Lovely parks people, please take a minute to add alt text to your photos. It’s a huge help for accessibility. And who doesn’t love a derpy wolf. Welcome to bluer skies.

Hear, hear. Chipper nailed it.

Even if he doesn’t, if he plays like this past season it’s hard to say Soto is better.

Yeah. Pity is that any real fans there get polluted by the losers so I don’t take them seriously w/o effort I don’t feel like giving.

Granted, agents have rather notable interest in “predicting” said trends but also the influence
December 9, 2024 at 7:32 PM
Interesting. I didn’t think Mets and Yankee fans would ever hold hands
December 9, 2024 at 7:28 PM
Well, from I’ve been reading, based on current considerations of WAR,etc, by various agents it’s more accurate to say they think Shohei is underpaid, hard to believe as it is, and Soto’s is in line. I am still wrapping my head around this POV.

They pay the AAV each year into an account that belongs to Shohei but which he can’t access until deferment ends. He will then get accrued interest and AAV principal as usual. Dodgers do save luxury tax during deferment.

And people mouthing off as usual on something they totally did not understand.
December 9, 2024 at 5:42 PM
IMO, the weakness in the example. I wouldn’t say Soto is in top 2, maybe even not top 3. He’s been on 2 stacked teams but this is first time where he is THE star. So this is his chance to show he really is the one.
December 9, 2024 at 5:40 PM
The deferred monies are paid yearly into an account, which is Shohei’s but he can’t touch through length of term. Dodgers benefit from reduction in luxury tax.
December 9, 2024 at 5:08 PM
Soto and Boras care. A lot. Was whole point. And so did Shohei although I think he did it also to get all silly salary talk out of the way once lol

Not likely unless he ups his game. He isn’t that good defensively, not fast on base, not as personable, doesn’t have the huge backing of a very tech-savvy home fan base. Esp not TWP. But maybe the ads will start showing up now. But now he has to deliver for the Mets. Top banana now.

I watched one of those games. Cautious chasing into corner, of course nice hard throw in. Less than average but what do you except with likely zero practice since NPB? Would prefer he not suffer Acuña fate.

Don’t forget also following links to other films and co-stars you suddenly realize you had a nagging question about.

Please don’t get popular, pretty little pooch. Bad for breed
November 30, 2024 at 10:57 PM
I did mention. His stats.
November 24, 2024 at 10:22 PM
I will have to agree to disagree b/c you are not providing real data vs your feelings on Lindor’s superiority. FYI the two NY chapter voters were from SI and Newsday.
November 24, 2024 at 6:22 PM
Highlights are nice. Can find a lot more of them for Ohtani. They aren’t measurable and are highly driven by feels. Lindor’s def WAR contribution is good but not eye popping like Ohtani off WAR. WAR not 100% ideal and not only calc but easiest general comparator. Unanimously.
November 24, 2024 at 4:34 PM
How do you know either guy did or didn’t? I didn’t see hm do any of these things since I am not privy to be there but Dodgers players have let slip l a strong respect for as him. Being a blowhard is culturally vulgar for him so it is much more likely he will not be doing much of this in public.
November 22, 2024 at 11:27 PM
That’s all sentiment/opinion unless you were in the dugout with them, and not in line with what his teammates have posted/said. If one of the voters was a Mets reporter, their input on why they voted as they did would be valuable
