Several economists say it’s the biggest tax increase on American households in decades. We need to plaster this message everywhere. & it’s a secret consumer tax…They don’t see it on a receipt, they just pay a higher price.

I agree. They know that thousand of companies have no choice but to import if their goods aren’t made here, so it’s a huge revenue generator for them. Frustrating for us all who didn’t vote for higher prices.

Yes, as I business owner who imports items not made here I have no choice but to import my items and pay the government if I want to stay in business. It’s a huge revenue generator for them because thousands of companies are like mine and have no choice.

He did pause the reciprocal tariffs on all but China. But currently the China tariffs, steel and aluminum tariffs and I believe the 10% on all imports are in effect. Don’t quote me on the others, but for sure China because my company writes those check!

Some tariffs have. Biggest being China. But yes, if these others start in August that is really bad news for consumers & US small businesses.

They make billions! This year will likely be record high for tariff revenue.

Businesses importing goods must pay the tariffs to be able to get their goods. Then it is up to said businesses on how much/when they raise their prices for consumers.

It’s devastating for us! I operate a wholesale company so my customers resale my items to make a living. We are all in shock. I have contacted my congress people but they either don’t answer or say everything is fine. It’s crazy to think your own government doesn’t care if your company survives.

Ships loaded with stuff coming to American businesses that many do not have another buying option for. Astounding how little he cares about American businesses and if they survive.

And no one seems to care or say anything about the small businesses in this country who rely on imports that may lose everything. I wake up every morning & email my senators begging them to save my business from the government.

Not if the US suppliers also have to import. China suppliers will win big here as they can cut costs easier since they are the manufacturer and can ship direct to amazon warehouses themselves.

Yep! We just got a container priced today and I was shocked it was normal. But in time, I think they will definitely go up up up.

The tariffs are billed when the goods come into the country. And they won’t be released without full tariff payment upfront.

My small business went from paying 5k yearly in tariffs back in 2016 before his first around of tariffs, to paying well over 180k this year alone.
