Gating areas with boulders while using The resource auto-pickup was a very elegant progression element as it forced you to upgrade resource slots in order to progress further.

I understand how you feel - I went through the same situation at other AAA studio. Applied for a principal role, went through all the interviews, and spoke with the director. Then I received an email saying I was the best candidate and they had chosen me, but the job was no longer there.

The hunt is on but steam is off. Congrats on the release - literally can’t wait to buy it!
