Finally, @maxkreminski.bsky.social is sharing some of their work on Patchwork in “Creative AI: Lensing the Imagination” starting with a chain of generators—from world to character to story. There’s a problem of homogeneity so tools for users to guide/select/direct helps make more specific “lenses.”

The next talk, by Issac Karth, was on “Vivisecting Procgen” and focused on the procedural generation systems in Elite (1984). I didn’t realize how central Elite is in contemporary research on procgen and appreciated the breakdown of the system/seed used to generate the game’s galaxy.

Ah, look at the culling settings on the camera. You can change how far away it renders polys and shadows.
