Consultant Clinical Scientist and honorary professor in virology mostly for a public health body in a country west of England. Has cats and an overgrown garden. Vaccines work and Brexit still sucks.
I agree with that. I’ve just watched Frankenstein, it was heart wrenching. I’m sure just as the author intended.

I’ve worked in the same place for almost 30 years, I thought it was time for a bit of a change 😱

Low level circulation with bi annual increases/peaks. As the vaccine is used less apart from in the extreme risk groups, there will be more reliance on natural immunity which will wane and also drive antigenic variation. That’s currently what we see with the seasonal coronaviruses.

He’s FeLV negative. It is a dilemma, he does travel okay, but if it’s only going to give him a few months, I don’t want to put him through the stress.

At a time when we should be investing more into the sector. This news is awful.

I promise the posters will be better than the old skool shocker I presented last year 😬 they’ll be on parvovirus PCR in pregnancy; the addition of mpox as part of a routine STI screen; screening for acute GI viruses in the immunosuppressed and H1N1pdm09 oseltamivir resistance in the Welsh community👍
