I'm definitely going to repurpose one of my spare Steam Decks and join it to the cluster tonight. Heh

How do I trigger it? I... Uh... Yeah... I just send a message to my locally running LLM model and it calls the internal API. It's pretty fucking stupid. 😬 Takes no input and just runs the tool code I wrote for it.

Hell, I even semi-automated syncing the ripped MKV files from my local storage to the remote server where my Jellyfin server runs. Created a simple internal API server that will spawn a Kubernetes job that runs rsync when called.

If you don't want the forced Steam Deck settings, change the launch options to this:

SteamDeck=0 %command%

The new forced Steam Deck settings have a more consistent framerate. The low preset is far less consistent, but still entirely playable. Runs a lot better than when I played it earlier this year either way.

Right now I'm toying with a system for transcoding video files from a higher resolution to lower resolution (e.g. 2160p to 1080p) so that there are multiple resolution options available to choose from.

Specifically hardware accelerated transcoding, ripping more of my BluRay discs, uploading more of my media, simplifying my dedicated yt-dlp scripts, and getting my parents and brother set up with it.

I'm moving this up my list of things to do now. Had to merge in last week's container image updates first before it would even create the new PRs for this week's container image updates.

If it sounds like I'm salty about Microsoft's absurd and greedy licensing, it's because I have been for a few years now.
