I’ve been burning slash on our property the last few days. The burn piles get pretty intense. I call this one ‘The Dog of Hades’.

Recently spent a week at an uncrowded resort on Mexico’s west coast where we had one of the pools to ourselves at times. Warm, relaxing water is such a luxury!

Beautiful day on Monterey Bay yesterday. This was the view from our restaurant table at Old Fisherman’s Grotto, which has great food and service.

First day of the season for me and my son and I pushed it pretty good. Really surprised at how little snow there is, though. Not a good sign for mid-January.
