Recently got my first EV - A290 GTS - it has achievements you can do while driving - a lot are track-focused (max G's in corners etc) but the economy ones are fun to do! I think we only have them in Europe, but really fun car!

The Neo Geo there is a legend - everything on the screen was a sprite, except for the static text in the foreground. It could render a huge amount of sprites per frame, with any of them as tall as the screen, so they were also used in place of the usual tile layers on other hardware!
